• Jana Boccalon

    Jana is a Biodynamic gardener and bee steward devoted to individual and collective health based in Fair Oaks, California. She teaches agriculture and animal husbandry to young adults on the Autism spectrum while pursuing a Ph.D. in Jungian and Archetypal Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

    She has also studied yoga, Pilates, yoga, somatic movement, and mindfulness, adopting a multidisciplinary approach to her work, using nature-based, somatic, and mindful movement practices to create optimal learning environments, a sense of health and well-being, and foster a deeper connection to nature.

    You can find Jana with dirt under her nails, resting, reading, researching, writing, and talking to the plants, insects, and animals she loves so dearly. She delights in creating sanctuary spaces and thriving habitats, growing medicinal, pollinator, and native plants. Imagine her as a diligent honeybee buzzing about and tending to the wellbeing of the hive.

    Marcela has over 30 years experience in business, law and education, and a lifetime understanding of the stressors that impact health and well-being. She is now devoted to teaching her clients yoga practices that can help enhance mood and energy and empower them to live the life of their dreams.

    She has been a committed practitioner since discovering yoga and meditation nearly 30 years ago. Over the last two decades, she trained with Amy Weintraub and became a Level 2 LifeForce™ Yoga practitioner and studied with Dr. Paula Barros, chiropractor, college professor, and Iyengar-trained, Anusara-inspired teacher.

    Marcela also completed Duke University’s Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training and trained in Karen Brody’s Daring to Rest™ method of Yoga Nidra, which seeks to empower women to reclaim wellness through restful yoga meditation. She has also trained with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés at the Institute for Archetypal and Cross-Cultural Studies and is committed to helping others reclaim their Wild Woman and remember this age-old wisdom.
